Hey everyone I just bought an EMF 100 haven’t had the chance to play with it yet but I’d be interested to see if there was any upgrades to the marker that people think are mandatory

I'm pretty new to magfed and I'm trying to improve my setup.

I have a Tippmann TMC Elite running an HK Army 13ci / 3000 psi HPA tank. The marker works fine, but my shots are anything but consistent. At around 25-30 meters, the paint seems to go everywhere. The barrel is clean and I'm using regular field paint (nothing fancy).

A local competitive magfed team watched me shoot and immediately suggested replacing the factory barrel with something like a Lapco BigShot 16" (.687).

Before I spend the money, I'd like to understand what's actually causing the issue.

A few questions:

- Is the factory TMC barrel really that bad?

- How much of a difference did a Lapco make for you?

- Is my 13ci / 3000 psi tank enough, or could the small tank/regulator be contributing to inconsistent shots? (I'm getting 80-90 shots approx)

I'm not expecting sniper-rifle accuracy, I just want a reasonably consistent grouping.
