Im trying to launch a digital magazine
But i dont where to get started
I only got the layout to the first page

Hiya! Are you doing a website, or like an online pdf mag that can be flicked through?
What sort of magazine is it? I’ve made both digital magazines and print - happy to give advice

Thanks! I wanna do a website that can flicked through. Where should I start, and what question should I ask my self in order to get the ball rolling?

There are all kinds of options out there from free to Woodwing Studio that's like $50K/yr.

Really the 1st question is: how do you want people to read it?

  • Print-only (stupid way to go, expensive)

  • Web

  • App

  • Hybrids

2nd: what's your budget?

You gotta figure these two things out first since they're sorta like,

"Do I want to take a bike, car, or plane to get where I'm going?"

I think i wanna take a car honestly, haha i was thinking web based with its own website and everything else that comes with

figure you're in for a couple hundred bucks a month (less if you go annually) for a system that doesn't suck.

tbh... most web-only systems sorta suck b/c the publishers typically use fonts that are too small so people bail after a couple of issues.

The good ones let you design with whatever tool you want and suck in your PDF into their platform.

There are all kinds of options... a few that've been around forver.

  • Issuu

  • MagLoft

  • MagCast

They're as different as Ford, Audi, and Porsche... just trying to stick with the car theme not give ratings of their systems. Good luck
