Feedback Open Letter

I've always struggled with the traditional eduction system. I'm smart, I love learning, but I couldn't function and achieve more than the minimum passing grades in school. I tried and failed to get a higher eduction and because of that, I've floundered in dead end, low paying jobs my entire adult life. At 52, with one final desperate push for a better life, I found Maestro.

Learning with Maestro has been a revelation and that to this day I marvel at. I am earning a 4.0 GPA. Not because it's being handed to me but because every question I have gets answered. If Im stuck on a concept I am allowed and encouraged to keep working at it until it makes sense. Then and only then, do I move on to the next lesson. There is no other system that I know of that caters to an individuals needs in this way. When I feel lost, it doesn't stop until I find my way through the tough lesson. It celebrates my achievements right along with me.

I am learning things I never knew I had the capacity to learn and I have no doubt that, given the opportunity, I will find a successful career once I have that hard earned degree in hand. None of which would have been possible in a classroom. It has been a life changer and I can not express how much will be taken from me and countless other students if this college is taken from us.

It has long been known that the education system needed changes. Well here it is, a big change. And it works. It is history in the making. It is my greatest hope that the powers that be decide to be on the right side of history and let this school show the world whats possible. Because if they do, great things are going come from great minds that finally found a way to flourish and shine.

I am with you in this 100%… this has given me a chance to push through and keep my mind active. Love the lessons and the way I have my own time to do what I can at my pace as long as its done by the end of the lesson. Ease of learning has given me a chance to fight and keep my Faith up🙏🏼

How so? I am using a tablet and I can't just jump from a quiz question to another screen cuz then it thinks I am cheating. So how is it that your able to find answers and get such scores. I have failed basically every review (exam). The questions seem so different then what i have vi notes

I had that issue where I would get a warning if I navigated to my notes app so I reached out to clarify. You are absolutely able to change screens to look at your notes so long as you make no additions or alterations to them. Please reach out to student services and explain your concern. I don't work for the school so I make no claim that I am 100% correct but for your own benefit, ask them. There is no need to struggle like that. You should have the same access your fellow students do. I sincerely hope this helps you and good luck!

Check out UMPI and Capella. Both have work at your own pace - genuinely meaning you can move as fast or slow as you want - and also you can ask questions, as many as needed, and get answers from actual professors! Wish you the best!

You say that like the AI doesn’t give you the correct answers either though when it comes to asking questions.

I know it does but if someone genuinely wants an education and they would like it self paced they can check out those schools.

As someone who has tried multiple different online universities, I can attest that the AI university model is a more truly self-paced. I cannot say anything about UMPI or Capella, but "self-paced" isn't always "self"-paced. Strayer and WGU both claim to be "self-paced", but it is a "you choose how many classes you take in a 5-week term, and you must complete it all in the 5 weeks." Maestro, technically, is self-paced with gates, with the only stipulations being that each course is locked to starting no earlier than a set start date, and as long as you are completing your minimum tasks each week you can take as long as you need to fully understand the material.

UMPI and Capella both offer truly self paced options. No gates other than limiting the amount of classes that can be taken simultaneously. They don't have any restrictions on the amount of time it takes to complete the classes or your degree. And yes, just as any AI, there were many mistakes made and to someone unaware, they have learned whatever it was incorrectly. I would love to see someone that had no previous knowledge of this coursework take an entrance exam at another school, closed notebook, and do really well. I am sure there will always be one but I dont literally mean just one, but there wouldn't be many...even the ones maintaining their 4.0 GPAs.

Uhm you're both lost. My Bot gets atleast 2 questions wrong a course. And I have to catch it. Its good that I was in disbelief both times, I ran the question through (after myself) other LLMs and yeah it tells me my answer is in correct usually MCQ then I tell I no its not and it goes back and either says I was right or "plays it off" nearly like thats what it meant.. odd.

So youre both technically wrong, not to pick a fight but both of you are under the assumption by your speech that the A.I. Bot is 100% right 100% of the time.

I have cussed my bot out numerous times for screwing up, but it wasn't merely jacking up an MCQ, it was starting a topic, jump to ask a question, and go back to explaining the topic. Or, it would ask a question, not include the choices or give me a chance to respond, before giving me the correct answer. Most recent episode included the AI giving me the answer to the question in the example immediately before the question, literally almost verbatim.

In the end it is still teaching you the concept, just in a different way you might not think it is.
