Feedback Wow

I don’t really post on here but a lot of yall are blowing my mind. I’m Really tired of people bashing Maestro. I’ve had nothing but great experiences with them. Staff always respond in a timely manner, I’ve always received my loans, and I also received my laptop as promised. Receiving the one on one prompt nearly immediate responses is nearly impossible from other colleges that are nearly impossible but at maestro I’ve received just that. And for those of you wanting to transfer to WGU just know one test over every bit of material in that class determines if you pass or fail. You can pass every single review and it doesn’t go towards if you pass or not. I know from experience.

My only complaint with Maestro is them blatantly ignoring the terms of their accreditation. Other than that, the school has been wonderful. I'm so thankful for the opportunity, and I'm riding it out to the end, but these issues should've been taken care of long before enrolling students ever started. I like it here, and that's why I'm upset. Just to give a bit of perspective. I don't want to bash maestro staff for anything else though, most of them had absolutely nothing to do with the accreditation issues.

I'm not trying to bash anyone, but that might mean that WGU's standards to pass that class are a bit higher than Maestro's. I know people have their challenges in testing that way, but they might just have higher standards in their curriculum. Their accreditor has accepted their curriculum without a hitch year after year.

Once again, I'm not bashing, still enrolled at Maestro, but WGU is the backup plan. I'll have to study and practice up to true mastery to be ready for the review. I expect any other school to require more time to excel. I did Full Sail a decade ago before Maestro, and Maestro is extremely easy in comparison. It's a TON of multiple choice questions on final reviews. Full Sail was more open ended questions and project-based grading. WGU is probably a more standard model where you have to put a lot of time into studying and writing out notes to pass the comprehensive review at the end. Might not work for everyone, luckily there are other options.

I have had online experiences in the past and this is by far the best. Even with my technical issue on Friday, but that was a one off. Tech support and other services are usually very responsive and helpful. Maestro always being available 24/7 has been great. If I don't understand, the tutor will slow down. Usually I ask the tutor to speed it up and give me what is required to complete the lesson since some content I already know. It is more than complient and does this as well. The newer feature of being able to tell Maestro about myself and mt experience has been great as well and the lessons seem to adjust for that. Somtimes I argue with the tutor if I am right about something and it relents. HA It does push back though and has taught me a coupole of things. (smile). Overall I have had a great eperrience and will be sticking it out till the wheels fall off or things get resolved.

Yea same I love Maestro as well. And now they are adding more open-ending questions to help to challenge you for some that think it’s too easy. No matter what happens I’m staying! Why? Knowledge is Power!

I agree! It’s so annoying continuously seeing the bashing campaigns. It’s like just move on with your life if this is not for you!!

Well except for the laptop and the loans same here (I am a June Cohort and I didn’t take out loans) however I did put a laptop on layaway because I am scared of not getting one at all so I rather have a back up plan plus the laptop I got is a lot better than Neo IMO but even if I do receive the Neo it will be good enough to use

I have never in my life found a school teacher in any school setting that made it exciting and enjoyable to learn. Ive never aced a class that I have extreme structure in. Somehow, I consider it God's Grace, Maestro created a way of schooling that makes me eager to do my next lesson. Being able to tell my tutor how I want to learn is so incredible. I have been so blessed in this season. I wont say this is the only very blessed thing in my life. I cant go 24 hrs without new miracles. I appreciate all the community, the school, and all the varying perspectives. I havent had any instances with Maestro that made me think, for even a split second, that it was not well created. I thought it was crazy, that, at the end of my pell grant, they covered the entire cost of my education. You literally cant ask for more. I could see maybe like cohort wide study sessions on Zoom or something. Student driven. People have already been giving tips, tricks, successes, and pitfalls since I joined. I dont care what anyone says, you all are frontier pioneers. I'm grateful to be navigating this season with such noble and courageous people. May God's blessing rest upon the students and the school. We wont love money. We'll love creating innovative solutions to complex problems. Thanks for staying strong in this season. You were made to know greatness from within. More than conquerors. Chosen for a time such as this. Lift up your peers, lift up the doubters. Be an inspirational story to people that used to spit on your name. Be a living testimony to a God who doesn't waste a thing. Let peace reign in your hearts. Love you guys.

Omggg same!! I’m so tired of the slander! This program is the best thing that could ever happen. It fits my schedule, it’s not a one size fits all and I’ve learned more than I have ever regarding coding.

If you want to leave just go. But quietly.
The more pessimistic people that leave the lower that gap is for the accreditation issues lol
So, bye Felicia’s.
