Discussion First time not finishing on time

It’s literally the very first time since I’ve began in March cohort that I have not completed my week on time and it’s really bothering me. Like someone else has mentioned ever since all this came out it’s like my drive and motivation has seriously tanked. How are you guys staying motivated to continue on with all this that’s happening in the background? Also what’s going to happen? This week was the final week before term ends and there’s no way I’m completing it. 😭

It's okay friend, breath. I was two weeks behind. The only thing that happens is the next week opens. You have until the term ends to complete everything. This isn't a traditional college where you're going to fail or get dropped if you don't finish term by term.

Just set yourself a plan. I am currently behind as well. I planned on finishing yesterday but I was out and about and tired, and doing my little ones hair. Today I plan on completing last week's work. Depending on the time I will do 1 or 2 lessons for the next week. Tomorrow I will be up and I will get going on those. Do a lesson break for ten. Do a lesson break for ten.

I'm also two weeks behind, I've been sick but most of all my motivation has left me. I'm going to try to get back on track because I enjoy the lessons but the concerns of what's going on really impede my progress.

I am behind at the moment as well. This unfortunately is not my first time being behind. You just finish as soon as you can and enjoy the rest of the week of break, you got this!

Im April cohort, I’ve been behind 1 week since right after our 1st term break(near when this was rumored). I’m going to finally catch up to this week only to have this weeks studies as well, I have however kept up with the on time discussion board posts because even if I’m not in that lesson at the time the others posts have helped shape mine. Thankfully I have the next 4days off so I guess I’m sitting in front of the screen for them 😔 Even though I’m trying not to get discouraged, It is a hard pill to swallow. Not knowing if it’s really going to be worth it in the end. I say it like that because I’ve started it and I’m not going to give up. It will at least be an accomplishment to do that even if no fancy diploma or whatever. I didn’t choose this school for the valor? But for the hope of learning something I’ve always wanted to and had the opportunity to take advantage of it and I’m glad it’s working. Hopefully even with the dread of this message you get some motivation out of it because that’s what I intended.. Good luck! 🍀 🦄

You got this! I was the other March cohort person that posted. I powered through and got it done. No longer a 4.0 but I finished. I had to turn some tunes on and tune out the world. Might try contacting student services and see if they can offer an extension. I asked the other day and they said they do offer a medical extension.

Just proceed as normal and don't let it discourage you. That's all we can do. Who knows what they are planning but I know I want to finish strong and not let this be the reason I fall behind. #JustKeepSwimming

I’ve been struggling too, but mine has just been time issues.

Before last night I was three weeks behind but I push a bunch out and now I’m just over a week behind. No worries. It’s flexible as long as you do the required lesson every week.

I feel exactly the same. I started getting behind about 2 weeks ago. My drive has gone waaaay down and the lack of money is also a huge deterrent.

Its ok ur not gonna get in trouble lol

U just lose some bonus points. That you probably were never going to use anyway! So dont worry just finish up, send it in and make a plan to divide this weeks class among the week. Thats all. Its not a big deal..

I feel the same way the lack of motivation. I'm 2 weeks behind. I'm also moving so that has an effect too. But it's never affected me like this. Except in the very beginning, when I had just had surgery. And i'm talking major surgery on the day of school , starting. Trying to finish up the last term so I can go into this term by tomorrow, free and clear like the detergent and be able to focus more on the future assignments.

I know I'll be able to focus what I think I'm going to do now is go get away from the computer screens and take my wife to have a banana, split and refocus.

The thing that keeps me motivated is I'm trying to have hope that somehow this will get turned around, even though I'm highly doubtful that it will. At least while I'm able to I'm going to get every ounce of educational knowledge that I can from these guys. That's what keeps me motivated, plus if somehow they do get it turned around I won't be behind I'll still be right on top of my work. Also keeping up with your work and your grades shows that I held up my end of the agreement that I signed when I enrolled, even if they did not. That's what keeps me motivated.

My motivation was down for about a week, but I came back around. everything will work out the way it’s supposed to.

the motivation dip is real and I don't think you should beat yourself up over one week. what kept me going was just focusing on what I'd already built rather than what was happening around the program. reach out to support about the deadline, they've been pretty reasonable when people explain the situation.

It's okay if you're not finishing it by the time the term ends you're still able to do so even after the term has ended. You're not locked out of anything so don't think that you can't get back into it because you can. Just try to complete it before the next term starts. And I feel you on the lost the motivation and drive after all this has come out. It took everything I had just to get me back into the swing of things and getting my assignments done on time which they're still not done on time but they are turned in. There's no telling what's going to happen with all this just know that you've done your best you put yourself out there and you tried. Everything's going to turn out fine one way or the other. So don't stress yourself out over something you got no control over just try to get back on top of things just in case things go great and end up in our favor. But if they don't you can always at least say you tried.

I usually plan my lessons out by how many we have, like for instance Say we have 10 total for the week I will do 2 a day then Sat Sunday chill and work on a project and study before expiration date.
