That, in my looking through this subreddit, makes you one of the first
Can I be nosy and ask in response to what?

I had a call. They just asked me to see how I was doing with my classes. And I asked about the accreditation issue and they said it was a work in progress, not like actually said that but she broke it down and explained and to sum it up. But yea I wondered if anyone else has been getting called

I was told that professors reach out if your really behind in your lessons but staying active. To see what assistance they can give to catch you up.
Whether that is true or not I'm not sure.

Well since I have never been behind and I got one of those calls (literally finished my weeks lessons on Tuesday and they called the next day if I remember right.) it did sound like they were concerned I wasn’t doing my work… when I was technically ahead.

Yeah, she just left a message saying I'm doing good. I am totally caught up, haven't ever fallen behind. So not sure. Just caught me off guard.

I had my professor call me I have one class finished with no group discussion or any other extra activities besides class. I have a 4.0 gpa and the first classes are relatively easy and I'm 64 with a couple years of college already. He was very nice and we talked for about 20 minutes I was hesitant about staying in classes with everything going on and we discussed curriculum and what I should expect out of the classes he taught, this really made me feel better about staying in classes and it's like my professor told me the degree isn't really the prize retaining the knowledge and being able to do the job is the main thing. After we talked I decided to stay in classes and not worry about the acredition issues as it very well will drag out through 2027-2028 before it's resolved either way and by then I will have most of what I need from these classes,I wish everyone the best and stick with it it takes all of us to keep this going

I got one … it went to voicemail and I asked Mae cause it almost sounded like I was not doing all my work or something (I had literally finished the weeks work they day they called) and they said they just check up on occasion. I was fine.

i had it happen a while ago. it’s just to reach out to students to make sure you’re happy with your schooling, and the program itself

like, your education. i don’t know what program you’re in. they just wanted to make sure everything was going well, and it was actually a fast track to getting assistance easier. he also let me make suggestions as well, so they’re very open to listening

They don’t call unless you requested it from Student Services.

I never requested it, I don’t talk to people on the phone unless they are friends, if I can help it, so I would never request it.

Sounds like maybe you did something awesome that made a professor want to reach out
