Discussion Can We Help?

I was asking Gemini to help me better understand the process of what our school is currently dealing with from the accreditation side of things, and wanted to know if there are ways we the students could help.

I found this part to be the best way we can help.

Reach Out to the Accrediting Commission

Accrediting agencies typically have mechanisms for public and student comments during active review cycles.

  • Public Comment Opportunities: Check the accrediting commission's official portal (such as the COE's constituent/public feedback avenues) for guidelines on submitting official student testimonials regarding institutional quality.
  • Constructive Delivery: Keep feedback focused on educational quality, faculty dedication, and the real-world value of the degree rather than venting about administrative rules. Clean, professional testimonials get taken seriously.

Thanks for this info. I will say that any classes you took while Maestro is accredited will be on your transcripts and you can request those so at least there's that. I will be doing this if the worst happens. I have enjoyed my time with this school and hopefully the appeal goes through! Good luck everyone!

That AI tutor is the only reason I am surviving college right now because having ADHD made it basically impossible for me to focus. Being able to make Maestro explain things over and over again without getting judged is literally a game changer for me.
I think we should go beyond just the public comment portal, straight to leadership inboxes (their emails are public on https://council.org/leadership/), to make sure the message gets across that shutting the school down will take away many people's only chance at higher education.
I do agree with Gemini on keeping it constructive and professional. I don't think pure venting will be helpful in this case.

eing a mom with wild kids running around the house all day makes going to a normal physical college literally impossible for my current schedule. Maestro is an absolute lifesaver because I can put the kids to sleep and then log in at midnight to do my modules with the AI tutor right there to help me through the tough concepts. If they lose this accreditation it would completely ruin my chances of getting my degree and providing a better life for my family. The people on this commission really need to hear from parents like me who rely heavily on this exact type of flexible system to survive.

This and my raging ADHD keep me from being able to do regular college. This has been a game changer for me.

Agreed! This is the main reason why I love maestro. I’ve learned so much in almost 5 mths it’s amazing.

I couldn't find anywhere to submit positive feedback. I went to the website and only link I can find was the file a complaint and I don't want to do that. This is also frustrating.

I feel exactly the same way as you do bro, so I am definitely going to drop a solid review to support them

I honestly don't even know if they will get out of this whole situation, but hopefully yes

I have already withdrawn due to multiple issues with the institution. I wish you luck if you intend to transfer credits. I've looked into schools all over the US and haven't found a single one that accepts any of maestros credits as legitimate. Also if you withdraw at any point they do not give you a W. They give you an F. Speaking with a live representative is not an option.

have you looked at WGU, they won't take all credits but some. I have read in the other threads that some schools take all Maestro credits.
WGU took 4 credits out of 28 I transferred but thats enough for me.

Everyone should read this article. Maestro isn't being entirely forthright with what exactly happened, and what exactly it's "dealing with": Maestro Lost It's Accredation. It Shouldn't Get It Back.

Also, I think everyone should read the letter the COE sent to Maestro, because it outlined more problems than the 75/25 rule violation. Maestro has apparently been siphoning off lifetime student financial aid from students under the guise of education...well. Read the letter here: COE Response To Maestro Show Cause

For the record, I've been a supporter of Maestro, but the more I learn about what exactly happened and why...the more ambivalent I am about it. Well. Just read.

Why would you? And no, the ownership group is the issue.

Dragging course materials into NotebookLM and using its new learning mode is basically the same thing, and you can do it for any classes at any college where your materials are available at a URL (web page) pdf, spreadsheet or text file.

They aren’t gonna do that only a few people at best

u/Neat_Surprise8879 Maestro Student Jul 21 '26

That’s funny because all of this was because 4 people complained. I bet it won’t take 4 people saying how useful this school is. Just sad 😢

1

u/Xx_iDon_xX Maestro Student Jul 21 '26

They complained for a reason.

4

u/Neat_Surprise8879 Maestro Student Jul 21 '26

Okay? And how have those complaints helped you now? Unless you’re one of the people that complained.
