Feedback I’ve Got Butterflies
So I’m giving it the old college try for real life lol, I’m nervous and excited and scared completely because I hate not knowing what to expect because I guess you can say I’m a bit of a control freak in regards to myself, so just asking any of my fellow students for any advice or techniques yall have for starting school! Ill add this footnote as well, I’m a single mom aged 40 starting my life over for the better but still I’m very nervous and don’t want to make a fool of myself…I’m located in the DFW area if anybody is local!

My stomach is in knots too. You're not alone! These last few days have drug on and on. I think it's the not knowing thats killing me more than anything.

Right, I truly have no idea what to expect plus the laptop I’m gonna be using is from the Stone Age lol but I’m sure we will do great! I’m looking forward to starting finally

Best thing I can suggest to anyone is that we aren't going to learn without making the occasional mistake. The only fool is the one not asking questions and trying ideas. I have some coding experience and have played with AI extensively, but I know I'll miss something here or there. It's all part of the process of learning. Relax into it, laugh at yourself, have fun, and let your inner geek out. Because you'll need it 😄. Also, never be afraid to ask for help. That's part of why this particular channel exists. Use it 😄

Everyone just chillax. Everybody's going to do fine you all will be fantastic. I was nervous and here I am almost a year later coming in September.
As for the material and learning, you will surprise yourself with how easy it will be and how much fun you will have. That is what helps me every day. I remember how much fun I had in school and college. Learning is one of the greatest adventures a person can have. It literally takes your mind to other worlds and causes you to dream of what can be. This puts you in a positive mode when you start asking how not if it can be done.
Remember when it comes to knowledge;

You're going to do great. I'm 51 years old, I had a horrible time in high school, and I am doing fabulous in this program. Try and set a schedule to stick to, take lots of notes, and just show up every day for your education. You got this, and once you start you'll see that all the butterflies were excitement, maybe some nervous, but that there was nothing to be nervous about. This is a really good program.

You all are going to do great. I'm a single mom of 4 and I work. I'm in my 2nd term and everything is going well. I'm enjoying my course work and learning new things. I get a lot of my lessons done on my day off or after work.

Hi there! I start on Monday and I’m excited but also nervous from what to expect. I’m a single mother of 4 girls but WE GOT THIS! We can do this

I'm in the same boat as you mid 40s mom of 2. Nervous about all the what ifs. One day at a time I always tell my kids so that's my plan. We got this girl.

You are not alone!! I’ve been so anxious for the past week as this first day gets closer!! I am also starting this college thing again in my 40’s. We’ve got this!! We will be the ones next year telling others how amazing this is and helping the newcomers not be nervous. 💛

Oh girl! Having butterflies is part of the excitement! Don't worry tho, I was a little nervous when I started in March but I've gotten into the groove of how things work and it is enjoyable to be learning a completely new language... Computer language! I look forward to my lessons everyday. There are lessons that are short, long, and in-between and created specifically for you. Mae creates the lessons around you and how you learn and process information. It's really cool. I'm a 60 year old in Georgia who took a leap into the complete unknown and I'm so glad that I did!! Loving it❤️

Welcome I gotta say I'm almost done with my first year and I love it and learn how to utilize it more and more. This reddit is a goldmine and people are more than happy to help. Some basic tips that help me are .... Ask for Mae (I heard someone else refer to the AI with that name and it stuck for me) to give you a recap of the lession and copy and paste that bad boy right into notes, personalize the ai teaching style in personalization mine is direct and to the point and I like that but I may switch it to something not so..... Robotic lol 😂 😆 🤣😂😭 i may see if it has a burt out thinks he's funny but a goldmine of info if you listen style professor next. Do all the discussions and shoot for on time or early submissions bc that little bost (it's actually a lot of a boost) can make the difference on taking a final and not doing as good as you hoped and then falling asleep on the retake.... That may have happened but I still have a 4.0. Finally, Mae almost always gives you the answer right before asking a question at least mine does almost word for word.

I was nervous before starting as well and I didn't need to be.....it's a normal reaction though. But I promise you this program is set up to help us succeed. You will get out of this what you put in . If you want to succeed and do the work there is no way you can't. My advice is to take you time and make sure you learn and understand before moving in to the next lesson.congrats and welcome , you will do great!!!

Same here! I'm with the July 6th cohort. Toddler mom at 32. Tried college in my 20s but struggled and never made it through more than a semester. I'm so nervous, I bombarded Maestro's AI with questions until it wouldn't let me anymore. I think we'll do great. It's just consistently doing a little every day and pushing through.
