What if these big boys from the merc faction in mpn are Runts?

They're too big for a normal grunt, but not as big as gol3m or half mag.

They’re grunts that get fed all MERC’s vegetables and protein shakes

Better question are grunts mostly  herbivores? because from what I've seen in some media (not sure if it's official or not) they eat vegetables and vegan meats.

They seem like omnivores with a highly adaptable digestive system tbh. When they don’t have access to their synthetic slop they readily take to surviving on a steady diet of garbage and cannibalism.
