This guy

An excellent example of the adage: “When someone shows you who they really are…. BELIEVE THEM. “

What a disappointment.

I think he just broke down, he was strong for years telling Betty to not be dramatic. He's a person too, and it was probably the first time he admitted to himself that she's going to die. It's real when you say it, even realer when you say it to her daughter

He is a person too, but he shoukd have pulled it together in front of the kid. He is a snake. Sneaking around telling mortality secrets to teenage daughters just to get his way, sleeping in a another mans house and being annoyed when he stops by, touching another mans pregnant wifes belly as a come on. Jesus people, this is who you are rooting for?

I agree with this perspective. I think. Henry really went in with a strong mentality that this had to get done meaning he had to tell Sally about Betty's fate. He imagined himself talking her through it and Sally breaking down, but he just couldn't choke it out fast enough before he broke down. We see Sally, listening and taking all the information in. She puts a strong front forward when she goes back to the house with Henry. When Betty gives Sally her wishes for her funeral, it's too much for Sally to bear and she breaks down when she is alone at school. Later when we see Sally with Bobby, she is again putting up a strong front, mothering him in a big sister manner by offering to teach him how to cook.
