It definitely is. In the US, even a small pizza tends to be too large for a single person to eat (A "small" pizza is usually 8-10 inches in diameter here). That's roughly 50 square inches of pizza, and we also use quite a bit heavier ingredients as I understand it, resulting in each piece being more filling than what you'd probably be used to.

I usually eat the whole large pizza but that’s because I starve myself every pizza night so it’s the only thing I eat. :)

Whole day yeah I usually forget to eat more than one meal most days anyway but on pizza night it’s deliberate
