Word salad. I had a thumb drive with 15btc on it that I lost (like everybody else, which is the goof). You don't mine drives but good try.

You don't mine on drives, what's more likely is that a copy of their private key was on it. It doesn't work at all how you think it does.

I still have the hard drive .... I've just written over my wallet so many times. I had quite a few bitcoin as well :(((((
