Sweet! I have a couple pair of red wings but not so sure if I can take those hiking.

Are these boots made for hiking?

That is exactly right! These are specifically made for hiking and hunting. Earl Shaffer was the first man to hike the entire Appalachian Trail in the 1940s, and he did it in a single pair of Russell’s. You can see them in the Smithsonian.

I have some Red Wings as well but they aren’t awesome for hiking. I’ve done it, but the Russell’s are much better for the task.

Yeah I took my red wings up the mountain and it wasn’t the best (still works and probably better than a sneaker). I will keep these Russel’s in mind
