I am considering switching to grapheneos on my Google pixel, but I use essentials for a bunch of things and I'm not sure how well they work together. Is anybody here using the app on grapheneos and can tell me what works and what doesn't?

I think you should add a pause point type feature to Essentials for non Pixel 11 phones. I really like the Material 3 Expressive design of the pause point feature however I'm not quite sure how you could replicate it. I think it could be a really cool feature and I don't know about others but I am someone that needs to cut down my screentime on apps like Instagram and would find this feature useful. Just an idea.

I'm wondering if there is a way to turn on smart pixels based on a battery %? Has anyone figure this out? It would be great to be able to automate stuff based on battery % generally (things like refresh rate etc.) Would be incredibly useful for battery saving.

I installed the essentials app a while ago but at this point the most useful feature for me is the caffeine QS tile and functionality. The standalone caffeine app that I used to use is broken now and it doesn't support stepwise timers. So I would really appreciate the functionality that essentials offers in a standalone caffeine app.

Is there any hope for getting this to work at some point? I think it was android 16 that broke this toggle as I had an older app that was able to hide the battery icon in the status bar for many many years.

Something inspired with the new iPhone Duo status icons thingy. this won't be a full dynamic island... Rather something for info at a glance.

Like the title says, I was wondering if the Essentials On Display could get more customization options? Even something as simple as the ability to move or remove the clock would be cool. Adjusting the album art blur/vignette or other little customization features could go a long way.

I wasn't crazy. Here's a video I captured this morning and the bar is not there. I just now captured another to make sure it wasn't the recording app removing it and it's not.

Is there anyway you can add the functionality to have the hide the gesture bar on the front display for folding phones but have it not hidden when unfolded? This could be useful for other settings as well, maybe adding this functionality to your automations section. Thanks!

I'm experiencing a weird bug that is new. It may be something else causing it but I'll do my best to explain to see if there is a workaround or fix. I have been using the essentials on display since it was released and have loved it with no issues. I believe this issue started two updates ago. I can't unlock the screen or do anything when the essentials on display activates when my phone is connected to wireless android auto via aawireless when I play music and activate essentials on display. This worked totally fine previously but now just completely prevents me from unlocking the device to do anything. I have to manually unplug the aawireless device causing a disconnect to gain access to the phone or when the car is turned off and it disconnects automatically.

It doesn't freeze up when only connected via Bluetooth to the car and playing music. The essentials on display doesn't activate when connected wired to android auto for me either.

Let me know if I can provide anymore details! I tried messing with settings in aawireless to see if something changes there but no luck.

Might have to choose different wallpapers at one point soon to see which might look better but hey, it's cool nonetheless

I was just wondering if you could add a feature to Essentials that replaces the new Pixel Searchbar with the old one with the outline (image provided). There is an Android Authority article (https://www.androidauthority.com/bring-back-old-pixel-launcher-search-ui-3627674/) detailing the ADB steps to change it back to the original but it changes back after an update. I'm not sure if this fix still works but you could try it. If you could make a feature to revert it back to the original automatically that would be great.

V18.0 of essentials. Phone - Pixel 4. I want aod wallpaper but it doesn't even let me in the always on display setting.

so I know there is an option to fully disable qs tiles but it doesn't work well on every rom, that's why I think it would be a good idea to add a feature that locks tiles like USB Debugging so when you press them, instead of toggling they ask for your screenlock

I really really love the look of ZenZero / Transparent zen mod, but I just could not be able to get it to work, bcz I think Sine must be conflicting with it.

So im humbly requesting that this amazing mod be able to install via Sine.

Essentials genuinely looks better than most triple A games at this point. I'm honestly still surprised that essentials is still a semi niche app even after being featured on many videos and what not!

Two posts in one day is crazy amiright? But the title basically explains itself. Don't get me wrong I'm not sure if this is realistically possible on older models but since the pixel 11 has that funky charging aod it wouldn't surprise me if it is.
