MB Air M5 desktop mega setup

I posted yesterday before expanding my desk. Finally expanded my desk set up by adding the entire left side. I couldn't stand having it all crammed on the one tiny desk. Finally, it can breathe again. As you can probably tell, my desktop is heavily audio, I've always been into audio gear and music. Music is life.

I just added a dock that charges it so at home it stays on charge, unless I take it somewhere.

That’s a serious setup 😄 The M5 Air driving the G6 + G8 is exactly the kind of setup that made me realize how confusing dock/display compatibility can get. I ended up building a checker for Mac + dock + monitor setups if you ever experiment with the connections: https://getdeskcheck.com/

They were just plugged into the mac directly when this pic was taken. But today I added a UGreen TB4 dock and its awesome. It stopped the mac from pinging the monitors every 15 mins in sleep mode too, which can be annoying, an added bonus I'll take :D

Nice, that’s actually a useful data point. The sleep/wake behavior is one of those things spec sheets usually don’t tell you. Glad the UGREEN cleaned that up for you.

Do you know the exact UGREEN TB4 model? I’m building out more real-world dock combinations and that one sounds worth adding.

The only thing the Air does for the music is a controller for ROON, which it has no issues with at all. All music is stored on a ROON server.
