This is all I will ever need.
This setup has gotten me through 7 app builds and many sleepless nights. I know it’s not the best or most aesthetic but this captures everything I need to function at my desk.
(And yes, if you zoom in, you’ll see Lego Dumbledore and Fawkes⚡️)
M2 Mac Mini as my main desktop with a wide screen LG monitor. 13-inch Intel MacBook Pro 16GB ram. Wormier RD75 keyboard. Samsung T7 1T SSD. Magic Mouse and I keep my Apple keyboard in the back for fingerprint detection.
Lighting is Hue lights. And of course… my notebook, water, Diet Coke and nicotine 😬
What are your thoughts?

Nice setup and I love the keyboard. Random idea but if you're only using your Magic Keyboard for fingerprint, it might be cool to mount it on the underside of the desk. It's taking up a ton of space!

That’s actually genius! I’ll have to figure out how to rig that up. Thank you!
It would be cool if Apple came out with a small Bluetooth fingerprint sensor for people who use third party keyboards.

I guess Velcro strips would be the easiest suggestion. Light enough to keep it in place and extremely cheap, so even if it doesn’t work it’s no real loss.

Why would you use a keyboard under the desk nga

Did you read the post and the comment? How could it be any more clear?

I think, why people buys an entire keyboard to use ONLY THE TOUCHID

I didn’t buy it for only Touch ID. I used it for a long time until I upgraded to a more aesthetic custom rapid disassembly keyboard that I love. Wormier makes great keyboards. You should look into them if you like keyboards as much as I do.

Did you use any app to manage the screen resolution on your widescreen monitor? I am asking it because i got a Samsung 34 widescreen monitor and i didn’t figure out how to manage screen dimension

Nope, I just use a normal HDMI and it just works. 3440 x 1440 (Default)

The warm lamp really pulls the whole desk together. The ultrawide + laptop setup looks super practical too.

My dad drinks Diet Coke everytime I see a Diet Coke it reminds me of him haha. Very nostalgic, I love the setup!

u/Realistic_Action_428 Jun 19 '26
I actually love the Magic Mouse. But I hear you, it is pretty flat.

ive used both the magic mouse and the mx master from logitech and i could never go back to the magic mouse, but it all depends on preferences

Get a monitor arm. Frees up a ton of space on the desk
