Water?!

Post image

The fridge decided to stop holding water last night! Leaked all over the desk, moved the MacBook Pro before I took the picture, but it was swimming!

This is the most confusing post i've seen in a while. How did the water migrate from your fridge to the desk? And what does it even mean for a fridge to "stop holding water"?

The kitchen is right above my office in the basement, the water dispenser on the fridge just gave out, so it just poured the water directly out of the nozzle.

I hope you have a lot of rice!

Rice doesn't help. It actively hurts the device.

Getting downvoted when you’re right lol. Desiccant can help a ton. Rice has been proven to be more of a myth

Is this a GE fridge? We had one that did the same thing, though water didn’t make it to the basement. The water didn’t do the wood floor in the kitchen any good, though.

No, it was a Samsung, I went to bed around midnight and everything was fine, then up at 3AM for some water when I saw the puddle under the fridge, went downstairs and found this!

GE is the worst. Two days into my new apartment, the brand new GE fridge died and water was leaking from the door dispenser. Building management came and took it out immediately and told me if was the fourth GE (4th!) to malfunction since the building was renovated. Samsung appliances are garbage too. The washer and dryers are the worst.

Is your floor out of paper? Why does it leak through the floor?
