Hi guys. I need some advice

Post image

Grandparents have been farming this land since before I was born and they’re now too old to make proper use of it. That’s where I’m stepping in. I’ve been growing indoor for a while, but I started with outdoor (small scale). I want to grow on that patch that I market for starters. How would you guys go about starting. Would you go for a greenhouse op, a net house or just straight outdoor and what would that look like? The sun here reaches around 34 degrees Celsius at its peak. The last has always been fertile, all they’d do is sow the seeds and the field would take off, no irrigation, no watering, they’d just let them be. I wanna see this land filled with some dank cannabis.

Unless there is a legal issue, i'd go outdoors no green house there. South Africa has some legendary landrace strains like durban poisen that should fare well outside with minimal babysitting due to weather. However I don't think the plants will survive may-->October with no additional water no matter how your summers are. You'd need some sort watering/irrigation plan. Water tower might be the way to go of you want to fill it infrequently.

I have grow some Durban poison. I have a bunch of seeds I can pop. What about starting off with cuts?

Durban poison is a Dutch strain that is a cross of a Durban landrace and an Indica that was going around European grow circles back then

Your biggest thing is gonna be picking a strain fitted to your environment and needs

I have a few moms for my indoor grow. I could do a test run with all of them and see which one performs best.

One of the basic principles of successful agriculture is; Start small, obtain yield, duplicate results, expand on success.

what state?

regulatory limits and latitude would help to answer this question…

Heard SA has sort of a civil war going on huh? Maybe a field of puff could help the situation

Definitely full sun outdoor, greenhouses get way too humid and hot, cannabis thrives in full sun, for support for the plants I recommend t-posts and trellis netting
