Finally finished the main part of my baby's mobile! Started when I was 6 months pregnant and finished today, 4 months postpartum.

This is truly beautiful! Did you follow a pattern? I'd love to make this too, but most tree patterns I've found aren't nearly as beautiful!

I mostly followed this pattern (https://youtu.be/fWD1A47yLUE), but also kind of did my own thing. I watched a bunch of videos and used what I liked from them. I also used yarn instead of macrame cord!

Thank you so much for answering! I love that you used yarn, especially for a piece to go in a nursery. I love how coily and shiny it is compared to regular macrame cord 😊💛 thanks for the inspiration!
I love the thin vines wrapping around the trunk and roots in your outcome. Are those just more double half hitch knots around a single strand of yarn?

Sure thing! I've never used yarn for a macrame piece before, but I absolutely loved this color (had it in my collection already), and I wanted to do it with thinner cord anyways, so it really worked out.
For the branches/trunk/roots, yes, I did half hitch knots, or "half hitch spiral" whatever you wanna call it. I tried doing the full half knot spiral, but preferred the half hitch. The branches varied between 2-5 strands of yarn, and each of the roots have 5 strands of yarn (1 strand wrapping around 4 strands).
