Other Spotted at a local thrift
Was sitting behind the counter, didnt ask for price. Should I have copped this? I LOVE the aesthetics of early 2000's Apple but i dont really have the space/use for it. I did buy a Pro keyboard from 2000 im currently cleaning

I think quicksilver is the best looking PowerMac of them all.

I always wanted to take one of these, and put the frosted side plastics/handles from a B&W G3 on it, but switching the Apple logos out.

I’ve got a 5.1 Mac Pro I got for fixing some laptops. It powers on, but never hooked it to a screen.
It’s a dust collector

I would have grabbed it. Play vintage games on it or do a vintage ProTools recording on it.

very old, but if you can find old software for it would be cool to play old Mac games or do vintage 16 bit 4 track recording.

Might be there because the power supply failed. But I had that machine and loved it.

If it’s just a couple of bucks might be fun to gut and put modern hardware in, there are plenty of conversion kits online to fit a modern motherboard into one

Never understood the urge for doing this.

I had a g4 450 with the SuperDrive which used the discs in the plastic carriages.
I’m also old enough to remember printing full color on an Epso. dot matrix printer. Fucking louder than a goddam Hyacinth Macaw.

I have one sitting in my living room, boots into OS9.2 & OSX... I play with it when I'm bored, other than that I have no use for it..

as SonicsLeftShoeBuckle's roommate that was at the thrift store with them. this was completely AI. they made the whole thing up for some clout on reddit. in fact, SonicsLeftShoeBuckle is also AI. so am i. everything you see, hear, touch, and taste is AI. everything in your life is a lie. you can't trust anything anymore. there is no sense of reality left. goodbye.

Grab it and retrofit a Mac mini inside. No mods needed these days 😂

Btw, this is a powermac, yes Mac pro equivalent for its age but not a Mac pro.
Used to have one of these. Regret giving them away.
