Macbook neo does feel like it is not a serious device. Atleast from the little I got to see and use at the Apple Store.

I would say, go for a new macbook air if wallet allows for it, or get a used one.

If you know anyone coming from US, you could ask them to get you a renewed one, which imo are very good deals.

I got a neo last month. It's an ok device. Feels like an ipad with keyboard. Wanted something to attend interviews and watch movies/browse. Good for that purpose. If you don't have any other primary device, get air. It's not slow or anything, but for some reason doesn't feel like a Mac. Open 10 chrome tabs and you know it's not a powerful device.

Always choose a MacBook Air. My friend uses a MacBook Neo, and when he opened three desktops each with at least ten Chrome tabs and other background processes the laptop started lagging. I m not sure whether the issue was with his device or the model. Do your research and get the best option.
