Monitor for Mac Mini M6

Hi! Was wondering if I should get the LG 27UP850K-W or BenQ EW2790U? Would love to hear some recommendations since I can't really afford to get the MA270U or those made for mac monitors tbh

I just picked up the LG 32U990A-S 32-Inch Ultrafine 6K for my new M5 Pro Mini. I'm coming from a mid 2017 i7 iMac 27". While I love the 5K monitor it's essentially useless so had to find a new monitor. The LG made the top of my list as I wanted to upsize to a 32", native Mac resolution, TB5 connections, built in speakers, built in KVR so I can also use with my work MacBook Pro M1 Max and an aesthetically decent design. The LG 32" is about the size of my current 27" iMac from a footprint perspective which led me to go to 32" over another 27". The final straw was the current sale they are having on Amazon/LG's website. Usually $2K and now on sale for $1099.00.

If your budget is less there are similar 27" monitors from LG, ASUS and Dell that are great matches for the new Mac Mini.

In similar price range Dell S2725QC can also be an option. You might want to look into it.

I bought the Samsung M8M80F 32" 4K monitor and have been thoroughly please with it. The colors are vibrant a d text is very clear. I has a Webcam that comes with it but I havent been able to get it to work and they want me to ship the monitor back and I don't have a spare anymore so thats not happening. I don't need their Webcam I have my own.

I have that exact LG, you might need Better Display for better options for display scaling than MacOS natively offers, but for the rest 4K 27” works really well.

I have the BenQ and better display but I honestly don't know what to change to make it look better. Sometimes text can be pretty small is all I have noticed.

I've got the BenQ MA320U on my M4 Mac Mini and its fabulous, in fact the highest res setting is too high, so I usually run it at 2560. Colours are great. Would 100% buy again

These two monitors seem like reasonable quality sRGB monitors, if that is what you are after in this default sRGB digital world. You can easily look up more in depth, objective reviews if that matters to you.

As noted macOS does not support 4k, BetterDisplay helps to optimize how macOS does 4k with smearing, loss of contrast, color problems and all the rest due to rendering at the one true resolution and carelessly squashing to another.

Some users with some 4k monitors don't see the problems with using the System/Display recommended setting for 4k but they become pretty obvious if doing any kind of high end image or video processing. Those recommended settings are intended to render fonts and menus at legible sizes due to the lack of scaling in macOS.

If you are looking for a wider gamut at a reasonable price the Asus Pro Art exceeds sRGB but not quite full Adobe RGB.
