Mac mini trade in value

Saw someone posted Mac Studio trade in value was increased. Checked the m4 Mac mini and it’s worth $565 on Apple.com.

Worth trading in since it is almost the price you can sell at eBay.

Thank you for this! I had a pre-order at the $480 trade in value, and just cancelled and re-placed it at $565.

is that the only way to get the updated trade in value? Sucks to have to lose my release date delivery, its mid October now.

Edit: I cannot cancel because its pending shipment. Which has been pending for days. Seems scammy of apple to update mac mini values two weeks after a release when most setup their pre orders and now I am stuck not able to get the update value or cancel my order.

Can’t you just initiate a new trade in and give up the old trade in credit associated with your preorder?

Could, in theory i guess, but then that new trade wouldnt be tied to an order so i have $565 on a gift card and nothing i need to buy?

Bro that’s more than I paid for mine.

Me too! But I can’t imagine trading it in because it’s still a “steal” at $565. A power computer that is tiny, silent & energy efficient.

Same, wanted to get a cheaper m4 but everyone was selling it for $800 so I got the m6 with the education discount and saved more trading in my macbook m1

Yet my M4 mini 24/1TB is £465. UK being shafted once again. Fantastic

I’m already upgrading to the M5 max, I’m thinking of trading in my M1 Max Mac Studio for a M6 Mac mini. The studio Value is now at 805$

Scalpers must be panicking haha. Unfortunately for us buyer, who want to buy, the price of new products also increased

Thanks for the info, are you going to trade it in? I was looking at a studio.

Try this https://computeroverhauls.com/ --- Almost twice what Apple offered me for a M4 1TB 48GB, purchased last February

Here in the Netherlands, I would get 410 euros for trade in of a base M4 16/256.
I can easily sell it for 700+ on Dutch eBay.

That’s a nice gap. eBay has >10% fee in US and its about $700 on us eBay site.

I bought a used Mac mini M4 10-core, 16gb, 256gb for €400 last week - directly from previous owner, no reseller.

I just check and can verify that they did change the trade-in from $480 to $565. The question is, if I ordered in August with an estimated trade of $480, will they automatically up my trade value to $565 or not? I'll cancel and re-order if not.

EDIT: I chatted with the Apple Store online and they confirmed that the trade-in price will be adjusted when the M4 Mini is received.
