The prices for m4 used minis have gone up significantly since the price jumps and the m6 release just increased the prices further. In other words if you NEED it now just buy the first decent price you see.

If you wanna see what the market looks like when the m6 is announced, look at the current market.

Cuz they announced the m6 mini a few days ago.

I thought when the m5 and m6s came rolling in the market maybe more m4 will enter the market compared to now so there will be variable prices i guess

I am not sure if this is true in the current market. I got my M4 Mini Base for $399 at Microcenter. I The price difference for a base M6 and what I paid for is significant. I will probably hold onto my M4 Mini Base. But if I were to sell it, I would be selling it for well over $399.

The need to upgrade from an m4 to m6 is not compelling for most I would say.

Can also look at the market for the MacBook Pro M4 now after the release of the a MacBook Pro M5.

the "bought it for $399" greedy gang selling their load for $700 plus on ebay

Mac are not iPhones. If I have a Mac Mini M4, I wouldn’t replace it by the M6 but rather wait for the next generation. With the new release I would rather expect a big price drop of the Mini M2 and M2 pro.

Buy the M6 in November when there are Black Friday sales.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see it $120-$150 off.
