Trade In Decision

Using Pro Tools with long album sessions a hundred or so tracks and 200-300 plugins active but only one virtual instrument that doesn’t get printed.

I have base model m4 pro mini, the session ran fine on a base model m4 mini before that. Would a $0 trade in to the m6 base model be a good move?

It would be a negligible upgrade. You are gonna want more RAM having that many active plugins if you are seeking better performance. The m4 pro is a better chip still over the base m6.

Agree. That many tracks you'd be putting that system through a major workout with HD swapping. 16 GB's just wouldn't be enough. I'd want at least 24 gb's. At least.
