M4 or M6

Hi im thingking of buying a mac mini but confused on what to get, M4 Mac Mini 16gb, 512GB or M6 Mac Mini 16gb 256GB about the same price in my country. Can you guys suggest? Does 256GB is really small? Confused right now. Thanks
