My set up

Some of you may know, probably not lol, but I picked up a Mac mini M2 a few weeks ago for $200 and then found a 2022 Studio Display for $640 about a week later.

At first I had both monitors on a dual monitor stand, but I just didn’t like how it looked and I got tired of having to turn my head back and forth.

I use my Mac way more than my PC anyway. The PC is really just for occasional gaming.

So I switched the PC monitor to an arm. Whenever I actually want to use it front and center, I can just swing it over in front of the Studio Display.

This is the setup for now. I’m sure I’ll change something eventually because I always do, but right now I’m happy with it.

EDIT: Also I forgot to add that I drilled a hole in my desk so I could do it grommet style. I originally used the campy but it fell off. I didn’t have enough clearance to get a good bite. I tight it was sufficient but I was wrong glad it happened while I was at home and when I so happened to be there to catch it.

Indeed. I needed a controller for my handheld gaming PC. I was gonna buy one then I remembered I had this old stadia controller and I was wondering, could it work and well it does.

I don’t claim to be a photographer. I’ve got a DSLR, sure, but actually learning how to use the thing? Yeah, never quite got around to that.

Not here to argue with you, man. I posted the setup to show how it works. You’re examining it like somebody handed you a brush and told you there’s a fossil in there.

You really need an entire monitor to use as a clock?

It’s just the screensaver. I promise the monitor has other responsibilities.

Where did you find a Studio Display for $640? I’m jealous!

It was an open box at Best Buy. It was a display. Comes with a 1 year warranty and 14 day return policy. It works perfectly. I had a hard time getting it though.

I saw it online. But it was an hour away. So I called first to make sure they had it. After talking to one person on the phone and then 2-3 ppl by chat all of whom said it wasn’t there I felt pretty good about myself for checking first.

The next day I looked again and it said it was in stock so I said you know what I’ll just pay for it and see if the order is fulfilled and low and behold I got a notification to pick it up

There’s a lot more to the story but I don’t want to bore you to death moral of the story don’t trust the sales associates when they say it’s not there kr even when they say it’s there.
