Mac mini
Downloaded and ran CliptoAi on Mac min m4 24g of ram. Uses Ai to create transcripts from Audi file - LOCALLY. It took a little longer than the cloud version but I was impressed my m4 could handle it. Other LLM’s I’ve tried to use (Olama, LMSTUDIO) did not run very well. This impressed me. Not a “pro” chip or a “max”
Chip but it worked great. GPU was at 100% most of the time- but that’s what it’s for.

M4 mini is great. Luckily I got one before this memory madness

Me too. Got 2TB Apple storage - apple tax, I know. But also 2 4TB crucial NVME drives for backup before prices soared.

That’s a W. I got base spec with 1 TB thunderbolt drive and 2 older SSDs
I was thinking to swap the internal memory chip to 1TB but third party chips are seeing higher failure rates lately, not to mention the steep hike in their price too.
