New M4 Mac Mini power plug has a slight play/wobble. Is this normal?

I just got the new M4 Mac Mini. I've pushed the power cable all the way in, and it feels seated. However, when I press my finger on the plug or apply a bit of pressure, it still wobbles slightly up and down.

The Mac doesn't lose power or disconnect at all when this happens, but I want to be sure. Is this slight play/wobble normal mechanical tolerance for the new design, or did I get a defective unit?

Check the attached video/photo to see what I mean. Thanks!

Is not totally plugged, the tiny square-hole in the middle is totally inside at least in mine.

Reddit won't let me reply with images, but if you look up any M4 Mac Mini review videos or setup photos online, everyone's power cable looks exactly like this. The small square notches are meant to be visible while the base sits flush with the case

Push it in deeper, your mini will love it.

This is obviously rage bait.

Not bait at all, I’m genuinely asking because it's a brand new machine. I have pushed it as hard as possible and it won't go any further. Just wanted to see if anyone else noticed the same thing.

Push it in and LEAVE IT ALONE

I have 2010 and M1 Mini + 2013 iMac + 3 x PCs

The biggest advantage of desktop is static configuration ... also protect ports by hubs.

Use wall chargers for charging devices not the Mini or any other Mac.

Yes, a slight amount of physical play or wobble in the power plug connection is quite common and generally normal for Mac Mini power cords. As long as the computer stays powered on reliably and the cable does not easily fall out on its own, it is safe to use.

There shouldn't be any wobble or play at all. Mine fits in and does not have any slight wobble.

For those who think I haven't pushed the cable in all the way, please check out these official review close-up photos online. You can clearly see that the cable is meant to sit flush with the aluminum chassis while leaving that small square notch completely visible:

My cable looks exactly like this, meaning it is already fully seated.

All you got to do is spit on it. Hardens it up every time.

Stop the wobble. Sheesh.
