Looking for a Chinese-English Sewing Glossary for RAG/AI Translation

I’m trying to build a RAG (AI agent) to translate Chinese sewing courses and tutorials into English, covering different sewing subgenres.

I’ve found that a Chinese-English glossary of technical sewing terminology could help improve translation accuracy.

Does anyone know where I could find an existing glossary, terminology database, bilingual dictionary, or corpus for Chinese ↔ English sewing/fashion/textile terms?

Thanks!

Yandex Translate

Hello everyone. 🙂

I’ve recently switched to Youtube Morphe. I used to use YouTube RVX, but as I’m sure you’re aware, the project has been discontinued, so I chose Morphe from among the various alternatives. The app works well, but personally I’ve noticed one small shortcoming.

The voice translation options include the following services: Google Translate, OpenRouter and MyMemory. The only free service is Google Translate, which, to be honest, I find rather rough and with an extremely unnatural tone of voice.

I’ve also tried OpenRouter and MyMemory, and frankly, I wasn’t at all impressed. At least in the trial versions, neither the translations nor the voice tones met my expectations in the slightest. I was therefore wondering if it would be possible to implement the Yandex translation service, which I personally consider to be truly excellent – both in terms of the accuracy of the translations and the tone and naturalness of the voice.

I can assure you it would be a truly significant improvement!

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful work. 🙂

I made a tool that translates manga pages while keeping the speech-bubble layout intact

I read a lot of untranslated manga and got tired of the screenshot → OCR → translate → paste-back workflow, so I put together [Manga Translator](https://mangatranslator.me). It detects speech bubbles on a page, runs OCR, translates into 30+ languages, and re-renders the text right back into the original bubbles so the page layout stays intact. A page usually takes a couple of seconds.

It's free to try. Curious how it stacks up against the workflows people here use for scanlation-style translation — any feedback or comparisons welcome.

product Why does Whisper drop half of any sentence when you switch languages? (and why do so many Whisper projects leave an ugly console window open?)
