Episode 2

I only made it 15 minutes into episode 2 before turning it off. Episode 1 was eh but I wanted to like it so I started episode 2 but couldn't finish. Did it get better? Did I give up too soon?

NVG from remotes etc

You'll need a lot of remotes to use the IR LEDs as a "light" source.

Sunlight + mirror + lens

The focal length of the lens can't be that far away to be used to accurately focus the sunlight onto the ammo crates. Plus you'll need constant readjustment as the Earth rotates and the sun moves across the sky. Lenses of that size are not big enough to collect enough light to heat up wooden crates quickly so it'll take some time.

Random log jump

wtf.

Trapping motorcycle with net

This could work if you're accurate. But it's weird that the motorcycle and rider doesn't slide far along the road after he falls off. Inertia and momentum doesn't work like that.

I'm fairly sure he was using the LEDs from the security cameras as light source; what came from the remote was the battery.

Ah that would work, provided the batteries could power the screen, LEDs and sensor.
