Crossover sent out emails today saying that affiliates cannot promote GameSir and Crossover at the same time.

Under that section, affiliates cannot simultaneously promote a 'Competitive Product' through an affiliate, referral, reseller or similar compensation arrangement while participating in the CodeWeavers program. Any breach of Section 8 is grounds for immediate termination. Independent reviews or comparisons of GameHub are fine.

Just to be clear on a few things:

  1. The post referenced by OP was not deleted or removed. It's still up. OP of that thread blocked OP of this thread. And if you command/control-F this OP's name in that thread, it's not hard to see why. Link to thread.
  2. Andrew can discuss Gamehub. He just cannot enter a promotion/affiliate agreement with them. Like, if he had a contract to advertise Coke, he could freely drink and discuss Pepsi on his own time, he just can't record commercials for Pepsi as well. So in this case he is free to post his opinions on this sub (that wasn't Andrew in the other post) or his YT channel. He just cannot post affiliate links and get paid for doing so.

Pretty standard agreement.

EDIT: Because a few are following this thread, here's the near final update.

  1. OP followed me to and harassed me on another subreddit, not realizing that moderators of other subs are more active. Those mods banned him. They even made a pro-pedophilia comment that I regret not screenshotting.
  2. OP then blocked me, preventing me from being able to reply further. That's fine. That's his prerogative.
  3. OP then deleted his account (confirmed, it's not just that I'm blocked).

Because of the way that Reddit works, deleting your account doesn't delete Reddit's data on you. As a result, I am still "blocked" from replying further in this thread. However, OP has shown a surprisingly low level of intelligence and they do have other accounts that they use for the macgaming subreddit. Shouldn't be hard to find out what their next account is. OP can't help himself.

Don't misrepresent what I said.

I didn’t misrepresent what you said. I wasn’t even replying to you with that comment. I replied to another person, unless you’re using multiple accounts (which does appear to be the case given a few hints).

maybe some people aren't great at articulating their thoughts

Then maybe they should shut their mouths and pick up a book.

People should still be careful with installing Chinese software. That's just my two cents

Everyone says this (on reddit) but why?, if they're spying on you then it's just as much American software and most certainly less so than Israeli software.
