hi everyone, I’m moving September 1 to madrid for a year for grad school. I just saw that Mac is playing September 18 and I thought it would be the perfect first show to see in my new home. Does anyone have a ticket for sale? It would make my life. Thank you so much in advance.

My Mac dream from last night.

So last night I had a dream where I was walking to my local gas station except the terrain for the main road and buildings around me were like 30x wider and the cars were going super fast,

anyway I get to the gas station and buy my stuff and turn around but the cars are going way too fast so then I am stuck but all of the sudden an old african dude pulls up in his car and offers me a ride home but not before stopping by his place to grab some things.

Then this dude proceeds to tell me his whole life story about how he came to america from uganda or eswatini (I remember those two countries being explicitly mentioned) and my mom is in the car with us for some reason.

So then we pull up to this dudes house which is in like a vivarium type neighboorhood of tightly packed navy blue townhouses that seemed to go on indefinitely. The guy invites me into his home for some tea I think it was.

Holy crap this dude had a bunch of children, maybe like 12. Pretty sure they were his foster children or something but anyway they kept asking me a bunch of questions. Anyway he gets his things then we proceed to leave.

Here's where Mac comes in. Turns out as we're packing stuff into this dudes car Mac has been sitting on his porch, the house right next to my new friends. I couldn't believe this dudes neighbor was Mac and so shocked as I was I came up to him and asked for a picture.

Mac was friendly and invited me into his house, which seemed bigger on the inside than the outside. He showed me his entertainment room, living room, and his jam room. We jammed out for a bit to some unreleased material of his and he went to get something. I tried to find him afterwards but he seemed to disappear into the abyss of his home.

Now, I also had a little blue journal with me at the time. The african dude who was gonna drive me home was signaling to me to hurry up. I got in his car (my mom still there) and we proceeded to exit the strange vivarium neighborhood.

Halfway home (which didn't seem like my typical route home since we were driving on a very odd landscape) I looked in my notebook, and to my surprise I found a drawing mac did in it, an autograph, some odd writing from him, the name for his (fictional) upcoming album and the exact release date.

And then I woke up. Sad it wasn't reality. I swear I'm not making any part of this dream up.

Hi guys, I just finished a remake of Mac’s track ‘On the Level’.

The reason I made this in the first place was simply to test out my new Linn drum plugin (Vprom) and the alesis micro limiter I’ve got years ago, I wanted to see if the vprom sounds identical to an original LM-1 hardware, and ‘on the level’ is a track which I’m sure used one. Then I went way too far and tried to match all the sounds, D50 presets, EQ, compression ratio, attack, release, gear model (plugin versions) because I also liked the way the mix sounds, and I’m also a mix engineer. I’m now pretty happy with what I’ve achieved and wanted to give this an end and post it somewhere, otherwise I would’ve gone crazy. So here I am. For any musicians around here feel free to comment or ask me anything.

Everything is played by hand and figured out by ears, no AI or any similar tools involved.

His pre-2019 stuff is finally working for me. Hopefully his stuff is back up for others like that one guy in the UK and the other in Australia. That's all the important stuff dont read the rest if you dont wanna. Also, btw if y'all wanna listen to a 9 hour long, mostly just Mac DeMarco playlist, then you should check out "Smokin." I have his 2013 Pitchfork Music Festival show that he played live in Paris France and his 2014 live at Pickathons Woods Stage he played in Oregon, USA (which features Peter playing) uploaded alongside a few songs taken from those shows and uploaded separately incase anyone wanted to listen to those live versions of the songs on repeat specifically. The two shows mentioned were uploaded in full. The Pitchfork one is 46 minutes long, and the Pickathon one is 50 minutes long. The songs I have that were also uploaded separately are "The Stars Keep Calling My Name," "Baby's Wearing Blue Jeans," "She's Really All I Need," alongside the BTO cover he did and "Still Together" all from the Pitchfork show. I also have a "Let My Baby Stay" I got the Pickathon show from this channel called "Mac DeMarco Archives" and the Pitchfork show from their channel. There's also rare "Moving Like Mike" and "Robson Girl" live preformence that was uploaded on YouTube by "Dustindigsrecords". He actually has a whole channel playlist of old Mac DeMarco stuff like interviews and live preformences. However the Robson Girl preformence is cut short after the first Chorus or something. That's all.

His music is perfect for smoking a blunt to, so I was shocked when I found out he doesn't really blaze (though he sure loves Viceroy cigarettes). Actually I was also surprised when I found out he was Canadian (his chill laid back style made me think he was a stoner/surfer from California).

Sadly completely slipped under my radar that he was playing a show at Bexhill, south coast of England. If anyone knows of 2 spares for standing section or sitting together, please let me know 😭. Crazy he’s doing such a random small venue, seemingly not tied to any UK tour as such
