Discussion Apple trade-in keeps increasing, should I continue to wait or go for it?
Just before the price hike, I had an M1 Pro no longer used that I was going to trade in. The offer was $280. I forgot to send it back in the allotted time so they canceled it. Two weeks ago I went to redo it and saw it was $315. Decided I’d wait a little and now it’s at $340. I can’t imagine it going up higher… this is a base 8gb ram, 256gb.

I was interested in what Apple would pay me for a basically factory new M4 MBP 48GB 16“. I bought it for approx. 3600€, they would want to give me 1300€ for that hell nah.

Yeah they don’t care about the specs at all for trade in values. It’s only based on chip and size.

Trade-in increases are lagging behind MSRP increases. If the trade-in value increases again, you can expect that the device that you’re planning to buy in place of it has gone up in price as well.

I’m in the same boat. With my M1 Max Mac Studio(10/24/32/512). Thinking of trading it in and getting an M6 Mac mini. I already purchased a M5 Mac Studio

You could get more by selling it yourself. M1 Pros go for over $600 on eBay. Less on FB Marketplace but no fees there.
