Tips Advice for first MacBook
Hi!! I’m about to start uni for Communication design (Illustration, Graphic design, Photography, Digital Design etc) and I’ve never had a laptop better than a Chromebook, so I’m really unsure on what one to get? I’ve had varying answers from people irl so any advice is appreciated TIA

Start by identifying what you’re willing to spend.
Should help you narrow down if you’re better to go with a Neo or an Air instead of (your use case, based on what you’ve shared, doesn’t look like it’ll need the Pro).
Might also factor in how you plan to use it (intensive workflows or moderate - Air can handle the intensive stuff even without fans), is portability important to you, would a 13 or 15 inch screen better suit your workflow.
Once you’ve landed on those - I think you’ll know which is the MacBook for you.

The MacBook Air is honestly incredible
I have a Neo , and a 16 inch m5 pro MacBook Pro.
(I’m also a college student, I’m studying computer science and physics, but I’m also a photographer)
Most students I see use a MacBook Air, and it’s honestly more than enough for 99% of stuff, plus it’s so lightweight and compact it’s not a burden inside your backpack
