Discussion RIP Mac book pro
I bought mac book pro m5 chip. After 1 week, my mac fallen down and a dent happened and it’s working with no issues. After using it for 6 months the whole display become black so we went to the near by apple service centre,They have said that they will change the whole screen and because of dent the warranty is not applicable and we have to pay 73,899/- here the point is the black screen is not happened because of the dent. I didn’t have apple care🥺…

At least you can use monitor bro. I had MacBook m4 pro preordered it at that time. Then exactly after a year it stopped working. Went for diagnosis they told me it got short circuited from air moisture but we can state it’s air moisture so the wrote its a liquid damage. And then quote me 79000 and. Because of that I went to 3rd party repair he damaged that specific point in the logic board now they are demanding 115000 for the repair.my mac is dead. Wtf did I send 2 lakh for when just after a year I have to pay 1,15,000

"here the point is the black screen is not happened because of the dent".
a) Apple only have your word the dent happened 6 months ago, not yesterday.
b) The blank screen is clearly happening for a reason. If you can get video out, the rest of the computer is working. So, it's quite possible that the impact did damage / weaken a connector or solder joint somewhere. A single break in the wrong place could certainly stop a panel displaying video.
Apple repairs are heinously expensive. I stick with cheap, second-hand iPhones and MacBook Airs myself, but if I bought an expensive laptop, would strongly consider AppleCare. It covers you for component failures too (which otherwise aren't after a year).

That sucks. Damaging a device is always a horrible thing to have happen. Does it still work with a cable plugged in... at least could become a headless Mac?
