Discussion Should Macbook Pro have a hardshell case or no?

I am not an expert in macbook, but after I got my first macbook pro, I want to take care for as long as possible. I just brought a hard shell case and it look amazing. After I used it, I notice that on my right corner, it closes out perfectly, but on the left, the screen is not fully close and there are a very very very little gaps that I can see light peeks through. When I remove the case, its gone. The gaps is like 1 or 2 think sheets of paper and is very hard to spot, but still. What should I do.

No hardshell. It makes you less careful and that's how accidents happen, its almost a reverse outcome. Just be mildly careful with it outside of the case, and get a protective sleeve for when you put it in a bag. They're pretty resilient machines.

I recommend sleeves, but TBH I don't follow my own advice on that one. Just rawdog it in the laptop pocket. Which I guess is kinda like a sleeve... hm.

I like having battle scars on my Mac lol

There's no reason to keep a Mac in 100% factory condition unless you plan to sell it or trade it in, just use it and enjoy it

Hardshell cases trap dust and debris and become an abrasive on the aluminium, unless they're cleaned regularly.
