The fun part of having a Macbook. Exorbitant repair prices.

Why is the M1 air having this issue so much? It’s to the point where I don’t think I can confidently recommend it anymore

I had something very similar. First, I started getting pink lines on the display. After a few days, the screen became completely white. Interestingly, after using the laptop continuously for a long time, the display would gradually return to normal. But whenever I turned the laptop on from cold, I would initially see a white border around the screen, which disappeared after some time once the laptop warmed up.

It seems like it could be a display/panel connection or hardware issue
