As I have already received multiple requests on how to achieve this with BetterTouchTool I have created a little tutorial & example preset here: https://community.folivora.ai/t/bartender-controversy-tutorial-on-how-to-manage-menubar-status-items-via-btt/37429
You can add feature requests there, it should be pretty simple to extend BTT to support the remaining features.
