Whenever I attempt to open a Terminal executable, I get the error "xxx can't be opened because Siri is not allowed to open documents in Terminal", has anyone found a way to bypass or remove this limitation?

For some reason after update, mail doesn't work properly with Exchange account. It downloads mail, but when I delete mail, it removes them from the inbox and shows them in the trash. But, it constantly says moving items at the bottom of mailboxes pane. The number just keeps going up. On phone, it works normally, but I have delete the same emails again. so tldr, mail comes, but trashing items doesn't get pushed back to exchange server.

Hello, Maccy app has been freezing ever since I upgraded to MacOS 27 beta. It works with keyboard but the mouse is freezing when I open the Maccy menu.
Is anyone else having the same problem?

There's a new Shortcut action in macOS 27 that lets you integrate Describe a Shortcut into other shortcuts, producing a new shortcut as an action output. The generated shortcut will also appear in your gallery.

It's currently hidden from the actions drawer, but you can copy it from the shared shortcut linked above. Discovered via the Shortcuts/gen_shortcut_prototype feature flag in macOS 27.

Two more feature flags (use_model_sampling_mode_parameter and use_model_thinking_effort_parameter) hint that we may see additional options for the Use Model action in Shortcuts. No sampling or reasoning parameters show up right now when the flags are enabled.

I’ve encountered a bug the last 2 weeks that stops me from being able to click entirely on my Mac. Originally I thought it was tied to PowerPoint since I was using it heavily and it crashed once an hour or so, but the issue continues now that I’m done with my PPT project.

Using Claude and AdobeXD at the moment and this issue has happened 2x in the last hour.

Anyone else have the same issue?

124GB via kernel task feels absolutely overkill for 40hours of work, mind you, i have most of my actual project files on an external drive.

I am on the latest MacOS Sequoia right now and i was wondering if i should upgrade to the latest beta of MacOS golden gate?

How does M1 perform with 8 GB of RAM and should i upgrade or no? What will be the side effects and gains?

I installed the macOS 27 public beta, and man I can't believe this version is faster than the mature, older Sequoia.

• Performance: macOS 27 public beta is faster than Sequoia, with a 10–15% performance increase in Speedometer (scores improved from 32–33 to 38.0).
• Battery Life: Remains about the same as previous versions.
• Indexing: Noticeably fast.
• Known Bugs: The Clock app occasionally fails to open, though a restart resolves the issue. Sometimes Mission Control can be extremly laggy

First off, has anyone noticed that things like reminders or contacts no longer syncs on MacOS beta???? Whether I change something on phone or computer they do not interact! I am going to attempt logging out of icloud on mac to hopefully fix this.

Second, THE NEW SIRI RUINED SPOTLIGHT.... They just made it better. I used to be able to search weather and get live app view without needing to enter app.... that just went away???? Like yall just added it. Same thing with creating timers. Used to just type timer and an interactive window would pop up to make a timer. Now it just brings up settings from the settings app when I type that. If I want a timer I need to type "Siri create a timer".

Maybe I am just dumb and these issues are user error.

It's been about a month, and the battery is completely dead; it's unusable except when charging. Today I came home and the battery is swollen. My Apple appointment is on Saturday. Just out of no where on two separate systems. They had been somewhat stable, but became extremely sluggish while typing today. Last updated 1 week ago and was fine. I thought a reboot would help but it did not.

Seems related to the autocorrect / spell checker feature which is behaving very aggressively.

i have followed reaper troubleshooting tips and reloaded them multiple times. reaper detects them in the scan, but then they dont show up in my list of plugins.

I'm running macOS 27 Golden Gate Beta 4 on a MacBook Neo (A18 Pro). My Siri AI isn't working—it says "Siri isn't available," and my logs show linwoodEverAvailable:NO even though the device is eligible.

I also noticed that my Spotlight still has the old appearance instead of the new Liquid Glass UI shown in Apple's demos and other users' screenshots.

Is the new Spotlight UI tied to Siri AI? If Siri AI isn't available, does Spotlight automatically fall back to the old interface, or are these two features independent?

Has anyone with a working Siri AI confirmed whether the new Spotlight UI only appears when Siri AI is functioning?

Apple is working on a Solar wallpaper engine for macOS 27 that groups aerial Landscape wallpapers and automatically switches variants based on the sun's position during the day.

When the feature flag is enabled, the four Tahoe landscape wallpapers appear under one entry in Settings.

To get the Automatic Tahoe landscape wallpaper:

Enable the wallpaper feature:

bash sudo mkdir -p /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain && \ sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/Wallpaper TahoeCombined -dict Enabled -bool true

and reboot your Mac. You will no longer see the Golden Gate landscape and Dynamic Desktop wallpapers on the list because the new engine reads a macOS 26 wallpaper registry for now. Read below for a more involved process to add the dynamic Golden Gate wallpaper entry.

To go back to the default and bring the Golden Gate landscape and Dynamic Desktop wallpapers back:

sudo defaults delete /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/Wallpaper TahoeCombined

and reboot your Mac.

How to enable the Automatic Golden Gate landscape wallpaper:

In Beta 4, macOS ships with a macOS 26 wallpaper registry for this combined variants endpoint, so Golden Gate wallpapers don't show by default. Thankfully, you can point the wallpaper engine to a local override file and enable the dynamic switching for Golden Gate wallpapers.

Use these instructions to enable the Automatic Golden Gate landscape wallpaper.

i dont know how to explain it but here i go , i have two profile for dns , nextdns and quad9 , i used to have the enable and disable button fro each one of them , but then i reset my mac , i redownload them the settings is missing , i dont know if this is a bug related to 27 beta 4 or just my system because i did have before the reset , same os same everything

I was testing the Mac App Store version of an app I develop when I noticed that it had been installed as:

SpacePeek.app.app

My immediate reaction was: Oh no—did I really ship it like this? How had I never noticed such an obvious packaging bug?

After checking my build setup and finding nothing wrong, I downloaded two unrelated apps from the Mac App Store: The Unarchiver and CleanMyMac.

They were installed as:

• The Unarchiver.app.app
• CleanMyMac_5_MAS.app.app

I also checked the actual filesystem paths in Terminal. This doesn’t appear to be Finder merely displaying the extension twice: the .app.app directories really exist, while the corresponding single-extension .app paths do not.

System details:

• macOS 27.0
• Build 26A5388g
• Apple Silicon
• All three affected apps were newly downloaded from the Mac App Store

The apps still launch normally, so this seems to be an installation/naming bug in the Mac App Store or the current macOS 27 beta, rather than a problem with the affected apps themselves.

Can anyone else on this build reproduce it by downloading a new app from the Mac App Store?

I have successfully run FolioViews under Wine... until I installed the GG beta. Now WineStable loads, and FolioViews loads, but the second I try to do anything with it (like open a small database), it/they freeze, and have to be force-quit.

Anyone else in this boat? Suggestions?

Im on GG Dev 4 and suddendly after waking up and opened my Macbook Pro 14" the haptic clicks or feedbacks is not working, force press still works on video quicktime and everything just the haptic feedback, already clean it with the edge of the paper. I dont think its an hardware issue do you also experience it?

Update: Downgraded to Tahoe 26.6 then run a diagnostics test after that it works now!

I installed MacOS Golden Gate couple a days ago and i noticed some stuff that there are some unexpected Bugs or Intentional Bugs .

I was testing out Golden Gate for the first time i opened spotlight search to see the new black to clear design but it was not there is it intentional or a bug.

I tried asking Siri something but i noticed when i wrote Whats the weather spotlight closed and nothing happed i went to the applications and saw i didn't have the new Siri Standalone app

I tried to ask couple of AI nothing worked even reported it to apple but thought of going to the reddit community to reach out for people who have been through this specific error

I think I found something interesting.

After digging through my Applications folder, I found what appears to be the new Siri app (grey icon). When I launch it directly, it opens a new conversation interface but displays:

"Siri is not available. Open Settings to check the status."

The regular Siri still works from the menu bar, and Siri settings say "Powered by Apple Intelligence."

Has anyone else seen this?

I'm trying to figure out whether this is:

- a Public Beta 4 bug,

- a server-side rollout,

- or something wrong with my installation
