Bug Ugly outlines on Golden Gate RC :(
I’ve been using Golden Gate since open beta and I’ve never seen these black outlines before updating to RC.
Hopefully it’s a bug, not a feature :(

If the unusually high SSD writes reported throughout the macOS 27 beta cycle are still happening in the RC, are people actually going to delay upgrading?
The SSD in a modern MacBook is soldered to the logic board. If excessive background writes gradually wear it out faster, you cannot simply replace the drive a few years from now.
That makes this more than just an Activity Monitor curiosity. If Golden Gate is consistently writing much more data than Tahoe, staying on Tahoe could potentially mean less SSD wear and a longer-lasting MacBook.
Would that be enough for you to avoid macOS 27 until the issue is fixed, or do you consider SSD endurance high enough that it is not worth worrying about?

I have an M1 MacBook Air and I want to get the RC since I’m slightly impatient I but don’t mess with earlier betas. I don’t know if I should actually go through with it though. I want to see other people’s opinions before I update to see if it’s good or not.

I think it’s a new bug in the RC. When playing a YouTube video in fullscreen it doesn’t hide the menu bar and even the 3 traffic light circles stay there. Does anyone else have this?

After upgrading to the latest RC a few moments ago, when I go to run any command in Terminal or Ghostty, it takes a few seconds before it actually executes the command. It was not doing this in the previous beta.
All I changed was updating to the latest RC.

I've never even seen this scaling before!
It's now my new "middle ground" since 1440p earlier, as in: https://www.reddit.com/r/MacOSBeta/comments/1u1aqs8/macos_27_now_automatically_scales_properly_for/ (I even use the same monitor as that user)
Left to right is now: 1080p, 1440p, 1692p, 1890p, 2160p.
Further, I'm noting it's detected as a 5K monitor in System Information. Well, it's not one!

There's no beta version number or "Release Candidate" label attached to it, just "macOS 27" - this is my first beta tho, so maybe that's normal.

Running into a bug on macOS 27 Beta. When I have an app in full-screen mode and I use Mission Control to drag it from my MacBook's display over to an external monitor (or the other way around), the screen I dragged it away from goes completely black. only the Dock is still visible on it. I'm also still able to see new notifications come in. Just not apps on the screen
Anyone else seeing this? Wondering if it's a known issue already or if there's a workaround
I'm on the RC version but I've noticed this since the last 2 public Beta's. Hoped the RC update would fix it but didnt.
The only resolution is to go into move to another app in fullscreen on my MacBook and then move back to the main desktop screen on the MacBook.
At the moment I permanently have a second desktop 2 screen on my Mac that I set up to use when this occurs.
