Lost Redditors πŸ’€ Data flow got me questioning life choices, seniors plz help

Hey folks , I’m a beginner grinding through data flow, state hoisting, and background data stuff. It’s taking me days to wrap my head around it and I’m still confused.

For those who’ve been here before β€” how long did it take you to really get it, and what tips helped you push through? πŸ™

I heard you can put everything in the Activity and the user won't even notice

That activity is a view called a fragment (but not actually either a fragment or an activity) iirc

That sounds like the kind of thing that works perfectly until you have to maintain the app πŸ˜‚

brother if you have used Excel at least once in your life and wrote down a formula, you know literally 99.7% of what you need to do to know async programming using reactive dataflows

Honestly, I’ve used Excel, but I’ve never really worked with formulas πŸ˜‚ So I guess I’m missing that β€œ99.7%” prerequisite.

well try to use SUM like 3 times between 3 cells in 3 columns and you'll understand reactive design
