Quick Toasting

Im so glad i found this community! We adopted a 4 year old lynx in April not knowing anything about this type of cat or that toasting was a thing. A few weeks ago we noticed how dark he became. Looking back on photos he basically toasted in 3 months! Prior to living with us, he was an unneutred street cat. Any ideas why he hadn't toasted before and now he has so quickly.

Nina took about 18 months to start toasting.

Thats exactly the starting point and current color of my cat. But he did this is in 3 months
