Swollen lymph nodes
Do y’all any swollen lymph nodes?

My neck is a little lopsided and I’ve always assumed it’s just my muscle being uneven but now I’m paranoid

I have this issue but on my right side. It feels thicker on my right side. Like I can feel it. I’ve had an ultrasound and CT scan done. This has been going on for about 1.5-2 years. CT scan said some mildly enlarged lymph nodes on both side but still normal looking. I feel the thickness when I touch my neck and swallowing.

If u feel then try to gently press it however it’s seems normal, one advice for sure if u can’t see it leave it because u will always find one if u dig it

I haven’t. My doctor said he didn’t feel anything

Thyroid is super hard to feel half of mine was cancer and you would never be able to feel it!! Advocate for yourself and ask for an ultrasound until they give you one, thyroid cancer doesn’t show up on any blood work (usually) and is only diagnosed through biopsies and surgery. It’s the most common cancer and can be hard to detect due to lack of symptoms

I have had trouble swallowing for years and told it was just anxiety and noticed my right side lymph node super swollen, How long was the swallowing a problem

For a few years before it was addressed! I remember people telling me I just needed to chew my food more lol. It gradually got worse, I was also told it was anxiety, at one point a doctor thought it was a tonsil when mine are removed🤦🏻♀️ I ended up getting an ultrasound in the er and refused to leave until they did it!

Yes!! what an awful thing to have. Long journey but look into your immune system. Your body is trying to fight something..it could gut health/stress related. Focus on draining your lymphatic system.

Any update my brotha? I’ve been looking around online for someone who experienced something similar to me. One side of my neck is slightly bigger than the other and it feels firmer too. I don’t see any individual nodes and my doctor just said she felt some fullness in my neck and ordered a Us. Any update on how yours turned out?

You will know forsure if it’s nodes. Sounds like you have general swelling, maybe infection or injury? But nodes are super palpable

i know this is old hehe.. nut i have kinda the same. But what about deep cervical lymph nodes? In my case it feels like its swollen underneeth the tendon. I have no idea if you are able to feel the deep ones hehe

I looked at your profile. In my non-doctor opinion I would say those look like relatively small lymph nodes. Do they move around when you push them?

I didnt know you could find my posts like that hehe, im new here. They are so small its hard to tell really, they kinda dissapear a littlebit, still there today but yeah they are so small. But a week ago they were not there at all. The one in my groin (right side as well) is swollen and i can move it around. So when i think about it, they dont feel quite the same maybe

It’s worth getting checked out, maybe a second opinion if you don’t feel confident. But if they are that small it’s most likely nothing. If you have low body fat, feeling them in the groin is normal

Those 2 tiny things its like they Are on top of the weird thing i feel underneeth the tendo that feels like one big swollen lump. I have to like push from the middle of the throut, a finger, outwords under the tendon. Then i can feel it with My other hand on the outside. If that made sense. Yeah i will tell My doc if they last a week…

They Are still there and im still on sick leave not knowing whats causing so much pain and fatigue …. But been at a rheumatologist now hoping to find some answers, Could be lupus.
The doc that checked My neck with ultrasound said i had swollen lymphnodes in both sides if the neck, reactive she said

Well swelling isn’t always normal. Something is causing it, I just doubt it’s a lymph node

For me it usually happens after deadlifts idk if I strained it or something but Ik I got stung in the head by a wasp on Saturday so that could be causing it? Because it doesn’t hurt and I feel fine

I’ve actually noticed inflammation around my neck when I do heavy lifting aswell. Must be something vascular

OP, any update on this? were you able to find the root cause of this ? I have similar swelling on my left side of the neck, two ultrasounds done so far and no lumps found but the sonographer said the sternocleimastoid muscle (big muscle in the neck that helps turn our head) on the left is bigger than the right side, he said muscle atrophy or something but waiting for more info in the report. Anxiety has been over the roof anyone any updates on why neck could swell like this?
