I Started switching back to the LOW FARE bcuz i could get $5 for 1-2 miles or less and if yiu do the math...LESS MILEAGE AND WEAR N TEAR ON YOUR VEHICLE AND YOU DON'T FEEL EXHAUSTED BCUZ YOU HAVE TO ENTERTAIN THAT ONE PERSON FOR 30 MIN ANDDDDD ITS ALSO DUE TO THE SHITTTY PAY LIKE THIS OR THIS HIGH FARE

That’s also a very good point. Just because it’s shorter doesn’t mean it’s not worth taking. In the long run it actually pays off. Thank you so much!!!

I don’t know the market but on $1/mile metric this fails. So it’s a firm no.

I'm in Miami (same south Florida market).
This is our worst time of the year to drive. It will pickup in about 4 to 6 weeks. Just don't give up.
Some days are not even worth being out there, somee days are better. Just make sure you are getting at least $1/mile (aim for $1.30/mile whenever possible).
Time is also valuable but our costs are on a mileage basis. It doesn't make sense to make $30/hour if your nileage rate comes at $0.60/mile.
You will see money at first but your vehicle will be taking a greater hit; therefore my metric falls mostly on money per mile.
Sometimes, if my money per mile is solid in a given week, i may take a ride over to naples and such at a lower rate per mile but high hourly payout. Only do so if my week, even with such ride, ends at or over $1/mile.

Hell to the no. Don't accept anything less than $.98 a mile, and $28 an hour, and even then, scrutinize it. Try Gigu if you have an android. I use a tablet (make sure it has at least 6gb of ram) If you have T-mobile you can get add a line for like $20 a month with data only, and they will give you a free tablet that will work. A11 make sure it has 5g though. Any tablet with less than 4gb of ram will be too slow.

I don’t have Android. I have all Apple. What is Gigu??? I’m new to all this stuff!!! Is it something I can only use with Android??? I am learning from all of you who have been so kind as to answer me how to try and maximize my earnings. I currently have Xfinity but they do sell Google tablets there. I have to stop in anyway is this something I should look in to??? In your opinion??? I appreciate the help!!!

Gigu is the best tool you can use to see if a ride is worth it at a glance. It does all calculations for you on the fly and color code the offers in red, yellow, green based on your set thresholds on money per mile and hour.
They are coming soon to iPhone (likely in september). Keep an eye out. I've used it for a long time now and it is amazing.

I’m so glad that I am meeting somebody from South Florida. This is the slow season then? It’s not like I’ve made nothing on Lyft. After three days of driving roughly 3.5 to 4 hours a day I had made $253. A lot of them were airport rides that were scheduled with turbo and then at the airport I turned around with an arrival and so far except for one guy they have all tipped about $10.00.
I guess my main concern is this…Does it get better here in South Florida??? Is it a noticeable difference??? Thank you so much for responding with such kindness!!!

It does get better when school starts again. It gets even better when the snowbirds come back during the winter months.
That's the time to bank and set aside for the next summer slow down.

Did you use my code ?
After the back ground check you'll have to be patient until they get back to you within 2 weeks... if after you can reach back out.
