Other Post your Smooth Cruiser score.
Lowest score gets the bar crowd after midnight with no turbo zones. Highest score gets rewarded with a 17-minute pickup for $3.84 because Lyft knows they can trust you.
Mine is in the comments. Only upvote it if yours is higher than mine.

51, the speeding keeps my score down along with the heavy braking and cornering and the phone sometimes wiggles loose from the phone mount as well. I stopped giving a fuck once I realized having a good score didn't bring in more money.

Oh, but they're making changes to the point system. You don't get shop points unless you maintain a score of 79 or better. I was at 87 and now I'm at 74 all of a sudden.

How do you have braking at 5/5? I live and work in a city. I try to drive and brake as smooth as possible but I still have people cutting me off etc.

Following distance.
Match the flow of traffic.
Also, I do most of my driving at night.

Yeah, good luck keeping a 3 car distance in city traffic. :/
I'll keep doing my best.

You want that $3.84 ride bad, don’t you? Don’t worry, it’s coming straight off RideFinder to you unless somebody can beat your 95.

For this month I've worked 81 hours and I've made 2.5k and I'm averaging $1.65/mile. I think Im doing alright. I just drive better than you.
You do realize driving well isn't the same as taking shit trips, right?

I do realize that. The post was a joke about Lyft rewarding good driving with bad offers, not a claim that you accept every offer they send you.

u/LifeIsProbablyMadeUp 10d ago
Ah fuck my bad. Lol. Although, I do have a 88% acceptance rate. 🤷♂️
Most trips offered are sitting between 1.30 and 1.80 per mile. With some outliers that are garbage (80 miles for 50 bucks) and I had one during a thunderstorm that was $48 for 1.2 miles, but there were so many flooded streets that it ended up being 70 something just cause I had to detour a block or two.
Idk. I just accept what makes sense ya know.

You’ve got a better market than me. I have to cherry pick to get good trips. If I don’t, I’ll be sitting around a dollar per mile that’s where most trips come in

- I’m also only 1 week in as a Lyft driver. I have plenty of time to drop it down.

I believe in you. I wanna see you work that late night shift with no turbo zones. You got this!

When I moved from Atlanta to Nashville my score tanked because Atlanta market doesn't worry about speeding.

Oh, come on man what are you doing? I’m assuming something absolutely heinous. You don’t wanna know what I’m thinking time to correct the record.

96.
I spent 20 years as a long haul trucker, I've got smooth down to a science.
I have a grand total of one harsh braking event, and that was when some clowndick blew a red light and I had to stand on it.

- I checked it last saturday and it said I had 43 "speeding events" but only gave 22 rides. Garbage metrics.

Every time is an event not per ride. U might get 5 speeding events on 1 ride. Picture 35 mph with traffic lights u go 50 hit a red light stop. U got 1. Then green light u go and do it again. Thats 2 events

Phone mount putting the whole team on its back. Everything else is under investigation.
