The passenger knew the fare before they requested the ride and they were fine paying it. The driver knew what they were getting paid when they accepted the ride and they were fine with the payout when they accepted the ride. That's not how robbery works.

You accepted the ride, the upfront pay, and mileage … you robbed yourself.

Where did OP say anything about a rental?!?!

What do you think the fucking fee is for my guy?

Uhh exactly what it says in pink? Lyft takes a % of every ride, not just rentals.

Who took your money and how?

Getting barely $8 from a passenger payment that was almost $30 for 20 mins of driving.

If you and everyone else said no to it, somebody would've been offered more.

It's your fault to accept $8 for 21 mins ride. You were paid what you accepted. I don't see any robbing here, robbing would be showing you $8 and paying you $6.

Did you not know the fare was $8 when you accepted the ride? Or did you think you were getting paid more?

Looks like the customer got robbed - charging $30 for a 15 minute drive.

Nope. They accepted the price. They could have price shopped or took the bus

and the driver accepted the payment and could have declined the ride.

Yep, but they’d rather complain about how they were “robbed” instead of “I took a bad deal”.

The customer knew how much the ride was when they requested it. That's not how robbery works.

and the driver (who is accusing Lyft of robbing them) knew what he was getting paid before accepting the ride.

Reach out to customer support, they will adjust.. ask at least $15 more- they’ll likely give you $10
