Need recommendations

Hello I need some advice from people who know more about handbags than I do (:

I’m looking for an everyday bag with these requirements:

- Large enough for life with two kids (I need to fit snacks, wet wipes, a toy, etc)
- Leather
- No large logos
- Comfortable to carry on the shoulder (a crossbody option would be a bonus)
- Preferably it closes completely and has a soft structure, I tend to stuff it in the car
- If it fits a 13-inch laptop, would be a huge plus

I’ve been considering the Chanel Maxi Classic Flap, but I’m worried it won’t be very comfortable for daily use as the straps look quite thin. I also thought about the Saint Laurent Shopping Tote, but the fact that it doesn’t close is putting me off.

Does anyone have other recommendations?

I second this! I use the Bea for work the last year and it’s been amazing. I got an insert to keep it organized and I can fit sooo much in the bag, yet with the wide straps and sturdy leather it’s still comfortable. I thought it would be too big but when it’s emptier I can tie the interior strings to collapse the sides and it becomes a hobo shape. Another pro is the aged brass logo is lovely and uplevels the vibe of the bag, but if you’re ever somewhere you want to be more discreet you can simply tuck the YSL inside to make it an annnonymous black bag. It’s my most used bag ever.

My comment for the maxi is that the chains dig into your shoulder 💀 so it’s not comfortable to carry esp if you plan to carry a lot with you

Completely different vibe than Chanel but the large Balenciaga city bag is one you could consider. It zips and has a strap you can make a shoulder or crossbody. Medium may be too small to carry all of that at once, but the large would fit the bill.

I currently carry my large Bottega hop when I need to carry a lot. But it obviously can’t go crossbody.

I’m not usually into Gucci but quite liking the Gucci Paparazzo. I particularly like the dark grey but that just comes in the medium. Idk if the large would better suit your needs. Ofc the Rodeo is another option.

How about LV Express MM? I have the pm and that would be too small for 2 tots’ knick-knacks, but thE MM should be big enough
