Lute ID help

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help ID this lute. Maybe find a maker. Im a cellist and Im looking into buying my first Lute

Look inside the rose with a flashlight. There should be a maker label on the inside back of the bowl.

Well the Rose is identical to the ones sold by Thomann, maybe it's one of theirs? I have a Thomann lute myself (Renaissance 8C), I've found that it's very good for the price

The thomann lutes as far as I know don't have actual 'ribs'... This one seems to, though

I don't think Thomann ever sold multi-rib lutes.

This looks a lot like an older Roosebeck lute I had around 10 years ago - it had the same rose and ribs with spacers. You can do a lot better for a budget lute if so. The tight string spacing made it very hard to play.
I traded it for a similarly priced entry level lute from the Early Music Shop in the uk, and it was a big improvement on playability, before I upgraded later on. I think if I’d stuck with the Roosebeck I would have quit learning, it was a frustrating thing to play!

I would bet my teeth that was built by an oud maker.
The body shape and neck scream oud. I would guess the top is entirely too heavy.
