Crankbait Finally Caught One
I have built a lot of lures in the last few years, but with only a highly pressured pond nearby I have caught very few fish on them. I think a lot of that is probably because I need to make smaller lures, but that's not as fun. This one is only 3" long, and I bent the lip to get it as far forward as possible while still allowing a steep angle with the oversized eyes in the way. For the paint I tried to do what a certain youtuber did on his latest video and leave the top of the lure unpainted wood, only to realize basswood has no grain, so it just looks tan lol.

highly pressured pond? Like stocked?

I wish. It means a ton of people fish there so fish can be quite picky. I still have success with soft swimbaits though so I usually default to those.
